An expedition of Polish climbers from Zakopane in Tatra, leave to conquer the south wall of Annapurna. It is 1981, the year of the attempt on the Pope's life. Having conquered a peak without a name, 8052 metres high, they baptize it Jasna Gòra, the Sanctuary of the Black Madonna of Czestochowa, in honour of the Pope's recovery.
