This is a film reportage, made between the winter and the spring of 1985, of two climbers, Charles Profit and Eric Escoffier. The former climbs the famous north wall of the Eiger and the latter in April, climbs, on the same day, first the Croz rock spur and then the Walker rock spur in the Grandes Jorasses, thus achieving an exeptional feat. The film also permits one to reflect on the competitions and evolution of modern mountaineering.
