The "rare bird" that will fly off a peak of Karakorum in Pakistan, at a height of 8000 m, is a hang-glider. On the hang-glider, the climber Jean.Marc Boivin experiences the emotion of flying from this height for the first time. The story of the journey with the hang-glider is told as if it was a mountaineering expedition.

In his long career as a director he has produced around fifty documentaries for television dedicated to mountains around the world. He has also made numerous works for the cinema, including “Momo le doyen” (2007), “Expérience africaine” (2009) and “La Pépinière du désert” (2011).
