Jean-Noel Roche (Pap's) and his 12 year old son Bertrand (Zébulon) live a life of adventure and freedom in perfect harmony. Jean-Noel, 36 years old, is a mountain guide and has handed down to his son not only a love for the mountains but also a calculated sense of risk. His son climbed Mount Blanc and descended by parachute when he was ten. In the film father and son are in the Yosemite national park in California. They climb El Capitain and Bertrand descends by parachute.
