The film tells the story of a partisan brigade of the "Green Flames" that between 1943 and 1945 operated in the mountains of Vall Sabbia between Trentino and Lake Garda where the Salò Republic had its headquaters. Three survivors of those glorious but sad events relive the facts and emotions of that time, talking personally about places and facts that have remained in history and on people's conscience.
