The only link that turtles have with the land, in memory of their ancient past as terrestrial creatures, is the moment they deposit their eggs. The ittle turtles, just born, face various dangers in their short but necessary journey to the sea when they are decimated by animals of prey. The film illustrates the projects to protect the two kinds of turtles living in the Mediterranean from extinction.
