The mountain goats are among the animals who adapt best to the snowy peaks of Alaska. The morphological features enable these extraordinary creatures to find food in places that cannot be reached by other herbivorous mammals. This means that they live in constant danger and oftern lose their young. In fact 30 % of their offspring dies during the first year of their life either under avalanches or by falling from precipices. Many other animals, old and young, die of hunger during the winter. What is the secret of their survival?
