The film tells two stories, one is about the important issiue of compulsory deforestation in the Himalaya. The cause is to be found in the tourism, the lack of alternative fuel and the mass exodus of the Tibetanian population in the '50. and '60. The other story concerns a young sherpa who is a forest warden. He works in the Moutn Everest national Park and is a supervisor in the deforestation service. He emigrates to Canada and studies for finally pubblishing a thesis about the possible salvation of the National Park.
