The telemark is the first authentic arrest and turning technique with the skis on soft and powdery snow which allows one to use one's imagination. It involves bringing the outside ski forward and then putting all one's weight onto it. Having fallen into disuse, this technique is now re-emerging thanks to the interest of some enterprising skiers who have relaunchend it and suggested that is should be used in off-the-track-skiing.

1939 in München, BRD, geboren. Über den Ingenieurberuf begann die Ausbildung und der Einstieg zum Industriefilm. Daneben realisierte ich mehrere 16mm Eigenproduktionen im Genre Abenteuer und Alpinsport. Die Filme "Riverrider" und "River to the "Smoking Hills" wurden 1987 und 1993 in Trient mit der Trophäe "Memorial Carlo Mauri" ausgezeichnet. Meine beiden Filme "Telemark Blues" und "Mountain River" wurden ebenfalls auf dem Festival präsentiert.
