Tokio is a point on the planet that contains the most examples of a positive and negative modernization. An Italian in Japan tries to behave the same but then the metropolis becomes a desert of men lacking warmth and crossed by moods of death that many try to exorice. This is the general tendency but of course it differs from one late industrial society to another. The film-makers point out that many new prophets have arisen in Japan who propose a return to nature, ancient cultures, and the practice of rites that have apparently been lost.
