The film shows the ability of birds to camouflage themselves thanks to a blade of dry grass, or a shell, or small stones gathered on a deserted beach, or some cleverly built nest. Camouflage is important to be able to hide in the environment and the colours and the patterns of eggs and the first plumage of the chicks show this. Because they blend with the environment the young chicks stay still so they cannot be seen when danger is near.
