The film records the music and dancing culture of the Trentino people, chiefly shown by folk groups who conserve costumes, gestures and scenic quipment belonging to the cultural traditions of the alpine valleys which are still alive in some areas. The film has two themes: the presentation of the folklore as it is and scientific investigation based on research.
