Europe is no longer big enough for European free-climbers to practise their sport. Here a great French free-climber, Catherine Destivelle, performs in China, first in a solo climb and then with a Chinese partner. This is the first time that someone has done free-climbing in China.

In his long career as a director he has produced around fifty documentaries for television dedicated to mountains around the world. He has also made numerous works for the cinema, including “Momo le doyen” (2007), “Expérience africaine” (2009) and “La Pépinière du désert” (2011).
