The video is one of the most complete and interesting records ever made of the world's most active volcano, Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano. The activity of the volcano was filmed over a period of four years, from 1983 to 1986, with over a 150 hilcopter flights. The video shows its high-fountaining eruptions, firey lavas entering the sea and an eyewitness account of this primeval force of nature. During filming Mick Kalber, who made "VolcanoScapes", risked his life to capture rare footage of approaching molten lava.
