I have waited for 25 years to make this film. I used to dream about it with three cameramen who were my friends.
Firstt Zbyszek Kaliniewicz died at the beginning of the climb he was making to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro. The Staszek Latallo died in the Himalaya. In the end Staszek Jaworski died in the Tatra mountains. I dedicate this film to them. In Poland for many years the cheapest form of transport was used. A horse carried its own meat that was destined to be food for the survival of the bear. The task of taking the horse to its cruel destiny was entrusted to a man who was prepared to accept the horse skin as a fee. The film reconstructs one of these transports. (Gregor Krolikiewicz)
