The marmot is one of the most typical animals of the Alps. It is quite common and is known by mountaineers for the strange whistle it uses to warn its fellow creatures of danger. The documentary, thanks to a lot of film made in the national park of Stelvio, describes the behaviour of the marmots, their habits and way of life in the open from April, when it come out of hibernation, to the end of summer when it returns to the burrow for the winter.
