The film Timavo has always stimulated the imagination of the men who live in the Triestine Karst, chiefly because of its long and unknown underground course that, from the source near Mount Nevoso, reappears at San Giovanni di Duino, near Trieste, two km from the sea. The documentaary shows the descent in the Trebioiano abyss to a depth of 329 m. The crew managed, for the first time in Italy, to shoot scenes that involve the transport of one kilometre of electricity cable and five hundred kilogrammes of material. An exploration in the deepest hole in the Triestine Karst, not far from the town.
