The Antarctic is the largest desert in the world. It was a land to discover by great explorer in the past and it is the same for six men in the Transantarctic Expedition today. The passion for exploration unites 3.000 men of various nationalities who spend periods, even long ones, often in difficult conditions in the Antarctic stations. The film introduces us to a group of American, Chinese, German, and English scientists and explains how they cope with the daily life there.
