Hans Kammerlander is one the best and most famous alpinists in the world today. He is particularly known for his climbs in the Himalaya and his ski descent on Nanga Parbat, his eighth eight thousand. This profile however does not show us his feats but the origins of this great climber. The documentary is about his adolescence in a village in Val di Tures. "Days above the valley" tells us how Kammerlander has always felt the need to leave behind him the daily life of the mountain village, but also that he has always returned to his native counrtyside.
