After many years white storks have returned to Italy, and more precisely to Piedmont, where they have occupied the area between Vercelli an Novara , near the Turin-Milan motorway. To the atonishment and curiosity of the local population, large nests are built near and in urban areas. In 1988-1989, after their arrival in spring, three pairs of these symbolic birds and the birth and growth of eigth Fledglings were patiently filmed.
