12/20/1890: 350 Lakota-Sioux, led by an old chief, Large Foot, are intercepted by the Seventh cavalry and taken to Wounded Knee where they are disarmed and nearly all killed (also women and children).
12/29/1990: hundres of Lakota-Sioux commemorate the victims in the place where the massacre occured. The seven day journey, on horseback or on foot, follows the same route their ancestors took from the centre of South Dakota to the border of Nebraska. Seven days of freezing cold, fasting and pryer in large inhabitated territories populated only by wild animals including the prairie giant: the bison.
