This film gives a profile of Toni Valeruz, a man who challenges the mountains, but who lives for and has the mountains in his heart. THis is the reason for the title "Vertical Dreams". When Toni was 9 years old he climed to the Punta Penia refuge on the Marmolada. While he was still young he found some mierals in the mountains around Canazei and this started his great enthusiasm for this hobby which he still cultivates today. In recent years his life has been upset, mainly by the tragic loss of his wife Daniela and by a fall with a parapente in which he broke both his legs and pelvis. After a long and painful period f rehabilitation he has made a comeback as the champion of extreme skiing.
