The video presents two protagonists of the Carniche Alps. Shy and practically hidden by their mountains they are totally in love with, they seem to be practising in solitude a philosophy rather than a sport. 38-year old Luciano de Crignis, one of the pioneers of extreme practised in solitude away from sponsors, with the intend of being a part of the environment surrounding him, an alpine guide and a ski instructor, has identified his life with the mountains. Iacopo Linussio's feats are exceptional because of the age in which he made them. When he was 85 years old he climbed the Matterhorn.

GIAMPAOLO PENCO
Born in Trieste in 1954, in 1979 he graduated in modern literature, with a thesis on the history of cinema. He specialised in modern cinema techniques and was assistant director at the Association Varan in Paris. A television director since 1983, since 1990 he has been one of the founder members and creative manager of Videoest in Trieste. He has written, directed and produced numerous artistic, historical and nature films, along with advertising and industrial films.
