Jannick is a young boy who lives in a small village in the mountains of Reunion Island: the island of Oranges. You can oly reach the village on foot or helicopter as there are no roads to it. It takes for hours to walk to the Island of Oranges. Jannick often sees strange multicoloured birds in the sky. They are parapentes that take off from a mountain called Maido, 1000 metres above the village, and go to land 13 km away, on the edge of the sea, but they never come down to the village. One day, one of these parapentes lands on the Island of Oranges bringing with it Xavery Murillo, a journalist and photographer. Xavier promises Jannick that he will return and will bring with him his friend Ali Gali, the french champion of parapenting, for a party with the village children. The island of Parapentes tell us the story of this meeting.
