Tractors, buckets,cable cars and helicopters have practically eliminated the old method of pulling trunks with sledges and horses. The film illustrates the modern methods, but also recall the past. It shows us the work that still goes on in soe Swiss alpine valleys using the "Ross und Schlitten" methods and a considerable amount of physical energy and courage in the steep descents to the valley.
