The Rhaetians were mentioned by the Greek and Roman historians and geographers in the 2nd century B.C.. These people lived in the eastern area of the Alps. The archeologist Franz Marzatico compares the historical records of them with the archeological reality. A specific cutural aspect is recorded, from the 5th cenutry B.C. to the Romanization in the 1st century, recognizable in the domestic utensils, ornaments, writings, constructions and religious ceremonies.
