Gino Daguin is one of the few sculptors of potstone who is still active. He lives in Hone in the valley of Champorcher. Several times a year he climbs the mountain to look for the potstone in an old quarry used by the Valdostan people for centuries. This stone used to be used for pots, stoves and butter and meat jars. Gino Daguin chiefly sculptures objects connected with the reality in which he and his people live. A reality that in the past was one of sacrifice, hard work, poverty, fantasies and mysterious tales.
