SEÑOR DE PACHACAMAC

In the land of Phacamac, in Perù, a religious feast is celebrated in which ancient pagan rituals are combined with catholics liturgy and iconography. The splendid costumes and decorations contrast with the poverty of the people taking part in this solemnity. The scene then moves from Perù to New York where the Peruvian community preserves its traditions in front of the cathedral with a religious cerimony which is like the one of the "Lord of Pachacamac", a divinity that now resembles Christ.
