Danilo Cedilnik, called Den, by his friends, is a painter, a teacher, a climber and also a writer. His relationship with the mountains is special because, altough he loves them, when he paints themhis pictures express deep solitude, cold and fear, as well as sheer beauty. The best and the worst of his himalaya experience, over twenty years ago, are expressed in his painting. Cedilnik, who was president of the international jury of the 41st Festival, is one of the most interesting artists among Slovenian climbers.
