This is one of the film in the series "Nomads of the Wind" made by the BBC in the South Seas, the Polynesian seafarers settled in the islands that we now know as Tahiti and Marquesas. Although remote from any continent these island, covered by forests, echoed with the cries of many kinds of birds and water spring created river full of live. Coral lagoons abounding with fish attracted seabirds and the open ocean was home to patrolling sharks and dolphins. The film illustrates this immense natural wealth which permitted the Polynesian pioneers to settle and live in the various islands.
