The amorous parading of the black grouse in the month of May presents one of the most fascinating scenes of alpine fauna. The film follows the life of this bird through the seasons, its dances in spring, its struggle for survival in winter, its difficult relationship with men, whether scientists, skiers or hunters, and its song, the symbol of mountain forests.
