The film shows the jouney made by the mountaineer Erico Rosso retracting the steps of Mario Piacenza who, in 1981, crossed Ladak and climbed Mt. Kun (7077 m.) the highest mountain scaled by an italian until then. Piacenza was not only a great mountaineer, but also a great traveller. For his expedition he chose companions who were all expert in their field and so they were able to return to Italy with one of the best travel ever published, the book " Himalaya Kashmiriano"
