The doctor, Christine Janin, the first French woman ever to have conquered Everest, has developed a theory that the effort required in climbing may be likened to the one needed to overcome a serious illness. Together with doctor Baruchel she decides to put her theory into practice with six to twelve year old children suffering from cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. The documentary shows the experience of a group of young patients who, through excursions and climbs in the mountains, find motivation and encouragement to overcome their illness outside the family-hospital-school environment.
