Skialpinism is a relatively young sport, which is being discovered by an increasing number of enthusiasts. In the whole of the alpine area the number of meetings and competitions of this winter sport increases every year. The film present the Dolomites Cup, consisting of five skialpinists races held in the picturesque scenery of winter in Trentino.

Born in Trento in 1954, he loves the mountains and is a keen sportsman in disciplines such as climbing, canoeing, skiing and gliding. His film-making activities began many years ago, concentrating particularly on documentaries. For many years he worked at the regional headquarters of the RAI as a journalist and cameraman. In the last few years he has also been involved in volunteer work, often following Fausto De Stefani in his journeys to Nepal.
