The formation of the Tibetan Highland was perhaps the geophysical event that produced the climate of our times. A young American geochemist of the Massachussets Institute of Technology, Maureen Raymo, has her ideas on the subject. She believes that the new climatic conditions were produced when India separated from Antarctica and, moving in the ocean, it collided with Asia creating mountains and the Tibetan highland. The film documents research, which confirms Raymo’s hypothesis.
