The Brenner Pass is well known to holidaymakers from the north searching for sunshine. It’s the last bureaucratic obstacle in the journey to Italy. But the real bosses of the Pass are the Customs Officers and Police who guard the frontier against smugglers and also control the village. What will happen when Austria enters the EC and all this ends? It took two years to make this film, which offers a portrait of a situation about, to change, but of historical interest.
