In the Ortler group the ice and snow have covered all traces of the First World War for half a century. The glaciers are now withdrawing and a chapter of history preserved by the glacier is coming to light where huts, cannons and personal objects of the soldiers are reappearing. The film takes us on a visit to recall those three dreadful years.
