The Orobie Alps is part of the Central Alps between the NE side of Lake Como and Aprica Pass to the north of Valtellina.
The film ilustrates an exploration to find the relation between man and nature in the most important part of a nineteenth century road, now in disuse, called the “Capanne” of the “via Mala” situated in Val di Scalve on the Orobie Alps. It is a road dug in the rock falling vertically to the river Dezzo. Various views of the place are examined to discover how it was planned.
