The itinerary in the history and traditions of the lands of the Horn of Africa starts with Lucy, the woman who lived over three million of years ago and who has become the symbol of Ethiopia and the subject of many studies. Yet Ethiopia is much more than this. It is a land full of charm that does not try to conceal the royal palace of Gondar, the Cathedrals dug in the Lalibela rocks, the Axum stele, the natural resources of the great lakes nor the peculiar lifestyle of the Coptic monks, on the islands of Lake Tana. Nine ethnic groups live in this country, with many survival problems, who struggle against hunger and misery, and are often overwhelmed by the weight of our civilization.
