The film tells the story of the Sherpa and their struggle to survive the dramatic impact of the pilgrimage, or rather invasion, of mountain climber’s worldwide to their sacred mountain Everest. With the help of Rimpoche of Tengboche and the spiritual guidance of the Dalai Lama, Mingma Norbu Sherpa has been instrumental in giving his people a voice in the sustainable development of the area and in restoring their fragile cultural values.
