Mitja, a boy of 8 years old, doesn’t spend his holidays in front of computer or the television. He doesn’t go to the sea or travel. During the summer he prefers to accompany his father and cousins with their flocks of sheep and goats to the nearby highland. His father teaches him how to behave in the mountains when they take the sheep along difficult tracks. The shepherd’s work requires dedication and a sense of responsibility, but for Mitja there’s also time to play; he learns to love all animals and nature, but he doesn’t stop dreaming.
