A young peasant, Mira, decides to escape from the monotony of her daily life. Tormented by her violent father, her two small brothers and a blind grandfather, she decides to go to the mountains. She wants to migrate to Canada with Josef, Josef, Josef, Josef and Josef, five young woodcutters. The story assumes tragic overtones and the woodcutters find themselves at the local police station, answering questions in front of the President of the Republic.
