Roads across the Alps present specific technical problems that are all the more difficult to solve when strategic roads are involved and have to support heavy traffic for many months of the year. Two of these transalpine roads are the Brenner Motorway and the Arlberg Motorway, that now require considerable maintenance work and structural improvements with methods that would have been considered impossible until a few years ago. The documentary shows why the people responsible for the roads have decided to carry out a number of jobs and methods that will be used without interrupting the traffic.
