In 1799, the German scientist and explorer Alexander von Humboldt, and the Frenchman, Aimé Bonpland, set off on a journey that lasted several years in the then almost unexplored South America. Humboldt’s diary inspired the journey of this film that begins in Venezuela in the rainforests of Orinoco, continues in Colombia and Ecuador and ends in Lima in Perù.
