The job of the bearer has always existed in all the mountains of the world. The movie tells the story of the supply of provisions and materials for the Pic du Midi from 1882 up to present times. Today, the weekly expediotion by trucks and cableway may seem banal, but once it was done on the back of a mule or by shoulder, in winter and with all kinds of weather. The director managed to find two elderly bearers in the Campan valley, the last two survivors of epic seeds.
