Marco Sterni, a mountain climber from Trieste and an alpine guide, ascent the «fakir’s route» to the Cima Scotoni peak on his own. His ascent is the spur to weave the history of mountain climbing in Friuli from is beginnings to the present day, through the feats of its main exponents. This is above all the story of the long relationship between men and mountains, made up of interviews with the climbers and of old film footage, much of which is seen here for the first time.
