The master violin maker is Giuseppe «Bepo» Rossitti, who was born in Trava di Lauco (Udine) and works in the near Tolmezzo. He is a craftsman who over recent years has received national and international awards. The complexity of the task, the skill and concentration required, the careful study which is the background of this manual work, the cultural options inspiring it are all better represented by images and sounds than by words. This is the first audio-visual work in the context of a broader project for documentation and research on the tradition of the art of violin making in Friuli.
