The Agno stream springs in the small Dolomites in the North-Western area of the province of Vicenza, Italy. The natural barrier of the mountains protects from hot air currents and creates in the valley a high rainfall index with a large number of springs and brooks which then flow into the Agno stream. At the feet of the hills, the area known as «Rotte del Guà» is the last refuge for small migrating birds who find rest there before crossing over the Alps to reach the northern countries for reproduction.
