Together with brothers Bruno, Pepi and Felice De la Dita and numerous volunteers, in Val Mesath, in the Erto/Casso municipality we see enacted the ancient trade of the charcoal burner. The movie is a documentary of the various phases of preparation of the charcoal pit, starting with the choice of place, the cutting of the wood, up to the construction of the actual pit, its lighting up and the days and nights spent assisting the slow transformation of wood into charcoal.
