Mario Botta and Enzo Cucchi realize one of their dreams: to build and paint a small church in Ticino on Monte Tamaro at 1,600 m. This association of the two artists from such different geographical areas, but culturally and spiritually close, sets off sparks. From an artistic point of view, it is the association of a man from the mountains and a man from the sea. Both have the gift of listening to their innermost thoughts and being able to portray them. Enzo Cucchi paints his views of the south on the walls and Mario Botta sees the mountain as a refuge. The mountain and the sea meet through the music by Paul Giger. The S. Maria degli Angeli church on Tamaro mountain becomes a holy place, but at the same time it also contains all the contaminations of our society. The meeting of two visions: that of the architect and that of the painter is the main theme of this film.
